Running out of filament

I ran out of filament in the middle of a print. Is  the A5S supposed to beep at you or something if it runs out in the middle  of a print, maybe pause?  Let me know.   I'm running Simplify 3D plugged directly in to the computer.

The A5 filament run out detection/pause only works when printing from SD card, not over USB

The A5s has a all-in-one board, wheras the A5 has a LCD board and a controller board joined by a ribbon cable, so it is not the same, but I suspect the filament detection will only work with SD card printing, and that both printers operate the same
