Thermistor leads at the plug when disconnected from the controller board should read 100k ohm at room temperature of 20c, and resistance should fall if you heat the thermistor with a hair drier
If the thermistor is working OK, you could disconnect the heater cartridge wires at the controller board and measure them - depending on whether you have a 30 or 40 watt cartridge, on the JGAurora 24 volt system, the cartridge should have a resistance of between 13 and 19 ohms
