I bought a Magic last July (2019) and just got around to setting it up. I'm trying to run the test file from the SD card. O loaded the blue filament and it extruded. However when it starts the print, nothing comes out.

Have you checked to make sure that the hot end isn't too close to the bed? This would cause it to appear as if nothing was coming out.
