my printer requests filament change multiple times per print

currently my printer has requested a filament change 8 times in a row in my 5 hour print job even though the printer has no run out of filament

    Hi @Bradley -- try and unplug the filament sensor from the motherboard. I would suggest contact JGAurora support - they may be able to advise about a replacement?

    ok, would you know which cable I need to unplug from the motherboard

    well once I unplugged it from the motherboard it requests filament change sequentially over and over

    Ahh... ok. Do you have any way of joining those two pins together in that port (e.g. aluminium foil?)

    In the port, there should be just two pins. Take a piece of aluminimum foil and roll it into something about the size of a grain of rice, maybe a bit thicker. Press that and pierce that onto the two pins so that they are shorted together. See if that tricks the printer into thinking there is always filament.

    If you want to test the possibly-faulty switch, you can put it into continuity test mode, and it should beep when you touch both of the contacts on the switch pins. It should stop beeping when the switch is pressed.
