Trouble with X-Axis

JG Aurora A5

New to 3d Printing

Have been printing successfully since Christmas day.  Now the X-Axis is not working correctly.  When trying to home it is is "bouncing" in one spot and making noise.   When the power is off you can manually move the X-Axis easily and smoothly.

Any ideas of what to check/troubleshoot?

Thank You

    Welcome @jlparker75
Please check all the cables are securely connected. Check that the X-axis endstop or its' cables are not visibly damaged.
You can test the x axis homing using a program call Pronterface (Also known as PrintRun). Sending command M119 will report back whether the endstop switches are pressed or not. You can test the x-axis endstop and see if the printer is correctly detecting whether it is pressed or not.
