USB Cable. What is it good for?

New owner of a JGMaker Magic here. I actually have it up and running and it prints well from the SD card. I do not understand how to configure the USB cable or even if I want to. Currently, the LCD stays on while connected to the computer and the JGCreat software doesn't acknowledge the printer at all.

be careful on this one. I believe there's some issues with the USB port where it is not grounded... could be updated but idk. use Cura, I did this before and Cura does recognize the printer but I upgraded to much safer way.
