Printer failed to resume after a power failure

I had a couple of power failures.  Each time when the power returns, the printer shows the normal startup screen instead of the resume print screen.  What may be the problem?

    Emailed the manufacturer, found out the main board is the problem.  The extruder does not come on when it is printing.  I guess the firmware uses the status of the extruder fan to determine if you are printing.  Because the printer is still under warranty, I paid just the shipping charge for a replacement board.  Very good after sale service.
