Why does mesh levelling from the LCD panel skip some points?

As the topic....

Because the LCD touch screen is detecting your touch twice. The touch input is not properly "debounced". It is very frustrating I know! I personally do my mesh bed leveling from pronterface for this reason :(

    I understand.
Is there any possibility to ignore repeatable touch?
Something like capacitor to eliminate contact oscillation in buttons in electronic devices....

I don't think there is any easy hardware mod unfortunately... for touch screens debounce can be easily done in software, but the MKS LCD is closed-source so we don't have the ability to change it.

Maybe try using a stylus of some kind for bed levelling?

Also, there is the front plastic of the machine... this is an extra layer over the LCD and may not be helping things either.

Is the LCD software from JGaurora? Maybe we need to report the necessity, because this sensivity of the touch panel is irritating:)

The LCD module is a 3rd party product from MakerBase (MKS), JGAurora has no control over the software, except the logo.

Wouldn't Makerbase listen to us? If this debouncing flaw is an issue, then it exists in many printers, not only in our A5s

I think the main reason may be an additional layer of plastic in the A5 housing.
I need to do a test on the LCD without housing

Did you test that, without the additional plastic film?
If so, is the result better?

    Yes, I tested this today.
Without a case touch panel works fine....

I am wondering whether to cut a hole in the housing size of LCD, or stick the plastic film to the panel using, a double sided adhesive tape. Unfortunately I did not find a perfectly transparent one...

I would cut it. Don’t stick anything to the lcd.
