reverse stepper

It is there some ways to have one stepper (say, the one for a second extruder) to always rotate backwards when extruding, and forward when retracting?

    I ask it 'cause I've got an idea for a double extrusion ensemble.

    Yes, you can swap the rotation direction of a stepper by changing the pin order in the motor plug connector. If you identify one of the two coils with a multimeter, all you need to do is reverse the direction of one of the coils, and this will change the direction that the motor turns.

    There are 5 drivers, but that would depend on modifying the firmware if you wanted to use that last one...

    Oh my... So it wasn't built to be equippable with 2 extruders...

    No, it was! :smile:  - there are three temperature sensors (t1, t2 and tbed), and 5 driver slots would enable x, y, z and E1 E2. Currently, there are two motors being driven off the z.

    ;-). Hope that you would like to help me, when I'll be done with designing the double nozzled cartridge... Apropos: could just one ceramic heater and thermistor be used to heat and matche the temp of-by both nozzles (so to have just one aluminium holder for both nozzles, besides...)?

    Why don’t you just use one nozzle and multiple extruders?

    Still too bulky as the titan (look also at these steppers...)
