External Card Connector for SD MKS TFT28

Hi guys, I'm new to this group and am still waiting for my new bargain A5 in the post, but I'm planning to make lots of changes immediately, especially on firmware.
Hence I'm also planning to mount an external SD card slot, for which there's a cheap upgrade on eBay: see External Card Connector for SD MKS TFT28.
Has anyone else done this, will I have to enable anything in the firmware, the six pin plug is normally unused on the A5?
