    I bought the JGmaker.. Magic 3D printer.  It was working fine then I was having problems getting it to print anything but the sample. Then while trying to fix that the screen on the printer is just blue with no words on it. Could use some help...

    Ok... try unplugging mains power and connecting to a computer. Can you connect to it via USB cable in pronterface/printrun?

    What baud rate are you using? (Top left corner of the window... try 250000, or try the other options if that doesnt work...

    Bingo. Sound like there is a fault with one of the temperature sensors. In pronterface you can press reset and then it should give you a full output including the specific error.

    Just under that output log is a input command box - You could try type M999 in there and press enter. But you might need to just use the reset button at the top of the window.

    I did do a reset but it still gives me the same thing.

    Bingo - MAXTEMP error on Extruder. That means the extruder thermistor wires (temperature sensor) are short circuited. Try unplug all the cables at the print head, and restart the printer. The error should go away, temporarily. That would mean that the short circuit is inside the print head area.

    When you unplug it might change to a MINTEMP error instead of a MAXTEMP, so just watch out for that. Otherwise, try unplug the T_ext plug on the motherboard, and see what error you get.

    Ok, I don't understand... it looks like the bed sensor is unplugged (showing zero??) and the extruder is showing 55C? Sounds like a possible motherboard fault?

    If you try swapping the T_ext and T_bed sensor plugs on the motherboard, what happens?

    @mayalyons I think its pretty likely that this is a motherboard malfunction, but I had another thought - you can check the thermistor sensor with a multimeter. It should read around 100k ohms at room temperature. This could be one way to confirm it is a motherboard issue.

    JgAurora Magic termistor temp. 
    Hello, I'm having problems with my Jg Aurora Magic.  The thermistor temperature drops.  I set it to 230 *, after a short time the temperature starts to drop, then the printer prints a classic error on the screen, I checked the thermistor and it is correct.  Do you have an idea what might be?  The printer is 2 months old.
