@coolt5 if you unplug the printer power and USB, then connect USB and AC again, and connect to pronterface are there any error messages?

There are error messages? Or are NO error messages?

    Do you have teamviewer?

Can you move the axis in pronterface?
  • coolt5coolt5 Posts: 38🌟 Super Member 🌟
    let me ask this .
is this will happen if i didnt unplug the lcd when i flash the mainbored
i an not sure if i unplug it 1st time or not?
  • Samuel PinchesSamuel Pinches Posts: 2,997Administrator
The reason to unplug LCD is that it can interfere with main motherboard flashing. Usually if this occurs, the main motherboard will not communicate at all. Since there is some communication, I think your main motherboard is fine.

Ok, so you are using custom firmware for motherboard with A4988 stepper drivers, but you have TMC stepper drivers installed. This will not work.
    You will need to either:
    a) replace the TMC stepper drivers with the older A4988 drivers from the old motherboard
    or
    b) make some changes to the firmware for the TMC configuration (I cannot help with this)

You have TMC installed? Have you configured the firmware for that?

no i didn't do any thing extra
just download your file JG A5 Custom Main Marlin Firmware - 1.1.8C
and verified it and uplode it
  • Samuel PinchesSamuel Pinches Posts: 2,997Administrator
What was the title of the item for the replacement motherboard you ordered.

the white things with blue heat sinks are stepper drivers. The A5 stock uses A4988 stepper drivers. Your board has come with TMC stepper drivers, which require a different configuration.

You can take the old ones off the old board, and put them on the new board.

IMPORTANT: when you take them off the old board, make a note of the orientation of them. They need to be reinstalled in the same direction on the new one.

I am sorry - I cannot help with this. I would recommend going back to the stock configuration, and then going forward step by step from there as a standard TMC upgrade. Maybe start a new thread for that process.
