Edges of curves have flat spots

So I was printing this simple clip that is just a circle with a circular hole and a couple other modifications.  but the print fas flat edges on it.  is this a common thing in this or any eD printer?  I would thing it could make actual circles...

Please check the STL file on the computer with a STL viewer. The printer is capable of smooth curves. Some 3D modelling software may export curved surfaces with a low polygon resolution. If you increase that in your export, (e.g. you can increase the polygon resolution in solidworks when you export a STL file) then you should be able to get smooth curved surfaces when printing.

Yes I see this coming from the tinkered stl.  I guess I never noticed...

Try open the STL file in another viewer, like meshlab or meshmixer. Then you can zoom in for inspection.

figured it out.  there is a little slider on the shape called "sides"   some reason it defaults with the flat segments and not smooth...
