filament feeding issue

On my A5S the filament does not automatically feed. The small cog wheel does not grab the filament and pull it up on it's own  Being that I dont know what it will take to fix any suggestions will be much appreciated.Thanks.

    I've never had that issue, but if I did, I'd suspect bits of ground off filament to be mechanically jamming the feed mechanism - I'd strip down the feed mechanism to make sure it was clean

    I'm a little unclear what you mean. During printing? When loading filament? Is this a problem of the cog slipping on the filament (grinding) or that the cog is not making contact with the filament?
