Print starting Problems

When I heat the extruder for my A5s up, it immediately starts dispensing filament before starting the print. This filament bends around and connects with the extruder and then it continuously clumps up on the extruder with none actually sticking to the bed. What am I doing wrong? I have tried pulling the excess off right before the print but then when it starts printing it still doesn't stick and clumps on the extruder. I think it might be an adhesión issue as it lays the filament down and the filament immediately bends up and sticks to the extruder. And suggestions to fix this?

Hello. Show us your cura temperature setting, first layer speed and how is set your gap between nozzle and hotbed. I am using standard A4 paper to set correct distance(I am using 6x6 mesh bed leveling). How old is  your masking tape?  If you touch it by hand, filament will not stick to it correctly

We need to know your first layer settings like first layer height, extruder temp, bed temp.  Do you have the community firmware where you can babystep up and down for the first layer? That might help you. We also need to know what kind of filament you are using.
