Home JGAurora A5 & A3S Getting Started & Troubleshooting

What are the two thin wires connected near the nozzle?

There are two thin white/clear wires connected to each other that is inserted in a small hole next to the nozzle. Is this the temp sensor?

Mine has separated for some reason. I discovered this when trying to troubleshoot my last couple prints; they would just stop randomly. I've checked the FAQ and my filament sensor cable is connected. But where is the filament sensor itself? Is this white/clear wire the filament sensor?

    Yes, that is the thermistor.

Filament sensor is underneath the extruder motor.

    Or

Both look like they have the correct plug so you shouldn’t need to do any soldering as long as the wires are long enough

Can you please tell me specifically?

I took off the cooling duct and don't see any filament sensor. The motor is the unit right below the fan, right? It looks very similar to the fan, same size and color.

I think the thermistor is ok... Just don't know why my print is stopping. Will use pronterface.

The diagram you have posted is for the extruder... the extruder motor is the motor that takes in the filament and pushes it down the tube. There are two types of filament sensor - the old type, and the new type. Let me see if I can find some photos.

The new filament sensor has a large white block that hangs down, with a switch with a metal arm inside.

The old one may look like this:

and inside is a switch with a plastic arm that wears out very quickly

    OK.
    I have the new one.
    It looks fine.
I don't think I need to do anything with that.
Maybe it's the file that is having issues because both prints ended at around the same time. Not exactly, but very close.
Going to try to print again but in a different part of the bed

Looks like there is no mirror for pronterface that I can find... but the binaries can be downloaded from GitHub here.

    Hello,
if you print from the USB stick it can also be that you have too old MKS Display Firmware. Prior to version 3.02, there is a bug that causes printing to stop because no more data can be read from the USB stick. The current firmware version of the MKS display can be viewed via the INFO button. The latest version wanted to upload Samuel to WIKI. I have not checked if he has done it already.

Not yet... I have posted it in the Facebook group for more testing. The beta version is here:
