Hello from Germany,
at the A5 there are in my opinion still things that are in need of improvement. Currently I am working on a new interface that fulfills several tasks at once. Here are some pictures of the development setup. I bought a MKS GEN_L 1.0 motherboard because the development is easier then and it costs so little. I better get to the motherboard to make connections and do not have to constantly disassemble the A5.The interface will do the following:
Cheap WiFi for the A5.
Two displays can be used simultaneously.
Print from USB, WiFi, SD Card (MKS Touch Display), Fast SD Card @ LCD 4x20 Character Display, Wireless File Transfer to the fast SD Card. Print from the fast SD card interface.
Double configurable filament out sensor (MKS-Touch Display and Marlin Native).
No need to pull the touch screen plug when updating marlin firmware. There will be a push button to press for firmware update.
Automatic execution of GCODE at power up or after reset.
This can be used e.g. Send commands to automatically put the printer into standby mode if there was no movement for a certain amount of time.
You can also include retro melody ringtones. This allows the printer to get noticed when printing starts to see the first layer. At the end of the print you can play your favorite tune to see the result.
I came up
with the idea for this project through the inspiration of Chris Riley.
I thank him for his great work.

What was the purpose of these board again?
thanks for the hint. The links are working now.
The board is part of the project, which I describe in my first post.
The project is not finished yet. I'll show some construction sections in advance.
Cheers.
