Baby steps option is not working

Hello, colleagies.
I have installed a marlin 1.1.8c firmware in printer board and 3.03 firmware (community build) in LCD module. The menu "baby steps" is awailable now, but when i try to adjust the 1st layer height use up and down arrows, nothings happend. Z motors are not moving.
What should be done in firmware for activation this functionality?
Thanks in advance.

    - check that you have done the m500 / m502 steps in the firmware installation
    - the steps are very very small - you may need many steps to notice a change, and the change is not instantaneous - it is queued in the buffer, so it can take some time before you observe a change.

Otherwise, I'm not sure - you could try sending the babystepping commands from pronterface and see if they are working there.
