A5S won't keep 220 nozzle temp

hi guys-
trying a metallic filament for the first time, and it recommends 220.
i set the temp in Cura, but the nozzle wouldn't go past normal. I tried setting it from heat on the dashboard before printing - but it wouldn't stay at that temp for the print. i even tried setting it during the print via options/more/heat and it still returns to default.
the material sticks to the nozzle and clumps every time.
anyone have a suggestion? thanks.
