Fat Error when loading in new and flash firmware.

Got my first 3d printer today! I tried to print my first object and it wouldn't print. It just sat there thinking it was printing. So I decided to update the firmware. I load it on the card and follow the firmware instructions and it gets to 100% then says Fat Error.
Anyone know how I could fix this?
